QN 17th JUNE special passenger train stopping at certain stations leaves Christchurch 7.0 a.m., arriving Timaru Racecourse 10.33 a.m. Return train stopping at Washdyke to pick up and at Temuka, Orari and Hinds to set down leaves Timaru 5.45 p.m., arriving Christchurch 9.20 p.m. TIMARU - RACECOURSE: Special trains leave Timaru for -the Racecourse at 11.7 a.m., 11.30 a.m., 12.5 p.m. and 12.40 p.m., returning from Racecourse at 4.45 p.m. Special trains to the Racecourse will stop at gate crossing leading from Evans Street to the Tennis Courts and at Smithfield to pick up passengers and the return special will stop to set down. TIMARU-ASHBURTON: Usual 11.36 a.m. train for Ashburton leaves Timaru 11.46 a.m. Usual 4.56 p.m. train for Ashburton leaves Timaru 5.5 p.m., arriving Ashburton 7.1 p.m. FAIRLIE BRANCH: Evening train leaves Timaru at 4.0 p.m.. Racecourse 4.25, arriving Fairlie 6.21 p.m. TIMARU-OAMARU: Usual 7.20 a.m. train for Oamaru leaves Timaru at 7.58 a.m., arriving Oamaru 11,1 a.m. (connects at Studholme with motor for Waimate). Usuai 7.25 a.m. train for Timaru leaves Oamaru 8.10 a.m., arriving Timaru 10.40 a.m. Usual 4.40 p.m. train leaves Timaru 5.30 p.m., arriving Oamaru 8.6 p.m. (connects at Studholme with motor for Waimate). SPECIAL CHEAP FARES TO TIMARU: Special cheap excursion tickets will be issued to Timaru from Ashburton, Fairiie, Waimate, Oamaru and intermediati stations on direct line of route by trains arriving Timaru up to 10.40 a.m. on 17th June, available for return up to and including Monday, 19th June. Also special fare (Rail only) to Timaru Racecourse by 7.0 a.m. special from Christchurch as follows: Available to Racecourse and back via Washdyke direct on day of issue from Hinds 6/10 and 4/8; Orari 3/11 and 2/6; Temuka 2/9 and 1/9.
