WOMEN’S INSTITUTES
ROSEWILL There was a good attendance of members and visitors at the monthly meeting of the Rosewill Institute. The meeting opened with the singing of the Institute Song, after which the president introduced Mrs McLeod, of Tycho, who gave an interesting demonstration on winter puddings, which was appreciated by all members. It being a Plunket afternoon, many parcels of clothing were received, which are to be given to the Timaru Plunket Society. It was decided to take suggestions for the coming birthday party at the next meeting. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mrs McLeod for her demonstration, and to Mrs Relling and McLeod who judged the competitions. Competitions resulted as follows: Pickles—Miss J. Porter 1, K. Brosnahan 2, Mrs Porter 3. Table centre—Misses N. Moore 1, M. Moore 2, L. Moore 3. Hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames Smith, Steven and Squire. The singing of the National Anthem brought the meeting to a close illll!l)IIIIC3l!llll!IIIIIC2ll!IIIIIIIIIC3lllllllllllir3llllllll!IIirailllIII!il!IC3llll
