VALUABLE CONTRIBUTION TO WORLD PROGRESS British Official Wireless (Received June 8, 5.5 p.m.) RUGBY, June 7. The Prime Minister at the opening of the Anglo-Palestine Exhibition in London, paid a tribute to the great services which the Jewish people had rendered to progress, in science, art and politics, and civilisation generally. Recalling his experiences during his visit to Palestine, Mr Macdonald referred to the remarkable efforts of all classes, in the building of a national home for the Jewish people, and agreed with Lord Reading, who presided, that the future of the people of Palestine depended on loyal understandings and co-operation between the Jews and the Arabs. Though banned from representing Germany at many games, including tennis and boxing, the Jews will not be excluded from the Olympic Games team. The International Olympic Games Committee, when it received this assurance on behalf of the German Government, decided that Berlin should be the venue of the next Olympiad.
