At a Cabinet meeting, the War Minister reported the successful termination of the Manchuli operations. As a result of a surprisingly swift movement along the Chinese Eastern Railway, the Japanese now control the line from Harbin to Manchuli, the vanguard entering the latter city yesterday. At present, it is certain what force Japan will leave in Manchuli, but it is believed it will be sufficient to maintain peace on the border.
