ASSAM SHAKEN
LONG SERIES OF TREMORS. CALCUTTA, Decemb3r 5. A long series of earth tremors, which has been disturbing Assam, shows no sign of abatement. Dhubri, which appears to be the centre of disturbance, is continuing to register one daily, while it is reported that Kilt, in the Gard Range, Assam, has become active, smoke issuing from the crest. Experts do not anticipate danger, believing that although Assam is on the volcanic chain there is no cause for alarm..
