BRISK COMPETITION. United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, December 5. At the wool sales, 7348 bales were offered, including 2032 bales of New Zealand. Approximately 3000 bales were sold. There was brisk Home and Continental competition. The Continent took the bulk of the offering. Puntas was 5 per cent above the closing rate of the last series. New Zealand: —Greasy half bred, “Natd/b”, llld; crossbred “Waitio”, top 91d, average 81d; half-bred lamb, slipe, “Pareora”, 12id; scoureds, halfbred, 17d and 16Sd. At Bradford prices are very firm; top-makers refusing to make concessions.
