PIANOFORTE RECITAL
The annual recital of the pupils of Mrs A. C. Fahey attracted a crowded attendance at the Scottish Hall last night, and the splendidly arranged programme including a wide range of pianoforte solos, proved very enjoyable for those present. The stage was arranged attractively as a drawingroom, draped with royal blue velvet curtains against which tall pink foxgloves in brass bowls looked most effective. Shaded roses decorated the small tables at the side, and a high pink shaded lamp added attractiveness to the performers’ dainty frocks. Mrs Fahey, who received many beautiful ixiuquets from her pupils and from admiring friends, wore a distinctive frock of leaf green charmeuse, made with a deep hip yoke, and finished with a large bustle bow. With this she wore a wrap of gold and black embroidered tissue, with deep collar and cuffs of mink fur. Amongst the performers were Miss Noreen Power, who wore a frock of coral pink georgette; Miss Ina Macfarlane, flame coloured taffeta; Miss Karin Seannell, white embroidered organdi muslin; Miss Helen Priest, blue georgette; Miss Lindsay Mayo, delphinium blue satin; Miss Kathleen McGrath, white satin with shoulder posy of green flowers; Miss Mary Stone, pevench blue panne velvet; Miss Vera Sheehan, flame coloured ring velvet, edged with white fur; Miss Myra Opie, lemon floral taffeta; Miss Alyth Begg, green floral georgette.
