The Australians defeated Hollywood cricket club by 144 wickets for two wickets, to 114 for eighteen wickets. Richardson made 42, McCabe 26, Bradman 52 not out and Kippax 24 not out. Hollywood went to bat first, and darkness stopped the game, with Bradman and Kippax going strong. MATCH AGAINST CALIFORNIAN TEAM. VISITORS’ EASY WIN. The Australians defeated a picked South Californian team by 181 for two wickets to 122. McCabe scored 93. Richardson 60, Kippax 9 not out, Bradman 19 not out. California batted eighteen man. The match between the Marylebone team for Australia and the Rest of England has bfeen postponed to September 7. Lord Tennyson is going to Australia to see the Tests, and also for surf bathing and fishing in New Zealand.
