CYCLING
OLMYPIC GAMES TESTS. By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, April 9. The Cycling Council of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic and Cycling Association last night decided to hold trials over Olympic distances on banked tracks, and on the road to ascertain whether the standard of cycling in New Zealand would justify the Council nominating a cyclist to the Olympic games. Centres are to be asked for nominations in order of merit. The banked tracks trials will take place at Wanganui on April 29, and the road trial will be from Wanganui to Levin on April 30.
