ANGLICAN HARRIER CLUB. Ths annual meeting of the Timaru Anglican Harrier Club was held in St. Mary’s Hall on Thursday evening. The president, Rev. T. Williams, presided aver a record attendance. The secretary (Mr F. L. Trott) pre'entsd the annual report and balance -heet. The report stated that the previous season had been a very successful ene from a membership point of view, flub runs being well attended. A comprehensi r e syllabus was compiled, which showed a total of 21 runs. 14 of which were invitation runs. In the champ'onship events held during thj season members had acquitted themselves very creditably, both in team work and individually. The Club held two dances, one at the beginning and one at the close of the season, both being pronounced a success. At the bcak-up dance Mr P. Wisker. the Club’s official trainer, was made the recipient of a presentation by members ol the Club for his fine support. The secretary thanked all who had helped financially and donated trophies. Appreciation was also due to those who kindly! lent cars on necessary occasions. The president, in moving the adoption of the report and balance sheet, said the past season had been a very successful one. He eulogised the work of the secretary. Mr F. L. Broadhsad; deouty-captain. A. Craig; committee, Messrs G. R. Valentine. C. Berry. I. Bennett, H. J. Valentine; official coach. Mr P. Wisker; club handicapoers. Rev. T. Williams and P. Wisker; delegates to Centre, Messrs E. Bush and H. Preston; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr F. L. Trott. The follo-ving new members were elected: —Rev. J. Evans. Messrs E. Bush. E. Darby, N. Johnston, H. J. Stare, M. Johns and S. Gibbs. It was decided that the club hold its opening run on 16th April from St. Mary’s Hall. BAPTIST HARRIER CLUB. On Friday last the Baptist Harrier Club held their annual meeting in Lascelles Hall. There was a fair number present. The Rev. C. W. Duncumb presided, and opened the meeting with a short prayer. The balance sheet was read and adopted. The chairman said that, he was glad to preside over the second annual meeting of the club. Since its inception. it had run well and carried on the sport in the right traditions. Owing tc the smallness of the club, he considered it would be advisable if the members present were to decide whether to carry on. All agreed that the club would be able to continue without difficulty. Ths chairman made two further suggestions. In his opinion young members should be more encouraged than ir previous years; and. owing to ths straitened circumstances of many people this year, sortie simpler arrangement should be come to in regard tc afternoon teas. The remarks were concluded by the hope that the club would have every success in the coming season. The election of officers was ther proceeded with. The Rev. C. Duncumb was re-elected president; vipe-presidents elected were Messrs A. R. Lawrence, T. Simon. G. F Whitworth. T. 11. Hopkins, G. Keeley A. C. Molnnes, R. Sinclair. E. G. Scales W. R. Woodward. W. Holmes and E Spence. A. Hopkins was elected clut captain, and Noel Keeley vice-captain: A. L. Whitworth was elected secretary and treasurer, and D. Clarke clut trainer. A committee consisting o! captain, vice-captain, and secretarj (ex officio) and two further members M. Lawrence and L. Abraham, was elected. The subscription for this year was fixed at 5/- for seniors, and 3/6 foi junior members. The opening run was fixed for Apr! 23rd.
