AUSTRALIA DAY
CELEBRATION IN NEW YORK. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright NEW YORK, January 26. Australia Day was celebrated at the British Luncheon Club. Addresses were given by Messrs Dow and Gatty. Among the guests were the British Consul-General and trade representatives of Canada and South Africa. A telegram was received from the Ambassador -Sir Ronald Lindsay) extending greetings. Mr Dow later, in a radio address, outlined Australia's efforts at rehabilitation after the depression, concluding by saying “Australia wall be there.”
