Miss Helen Stack, aged 25, daughter of the Sirdar, Sir Lee Stack, who was assassinated at Cairo in 1924, skiing at Laberhorn, Switzerland, at a speed of 35 miles per hour, collided with a fellow skier, Mr Lionel Balfour, the well-known London aviator. She fractured her skull and died almost immediately. Lady Stack watched the disaster through field-glasses. The accident is unprecedented in Switzerland.
