DEATH IN ALPS.
FATAL COLLISION WHILE SKI-ING. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright BERNE, April 9. Miss Helen Stack, aged 25, daughter of the Sirdar, Sir Lee Stack, who was assassinated at Cairo in 1924, skiing at Laberhorn, Switzerland, at a speed of 35 miles per hour, collided with a fellow skier, Mr Lionel Balfour, the well-known London aviator. She fractured her skull and died almost immediately. Lady Stack watched the disaster through field-glasses. The accident is unprecedented in Switzerland. The skiers, turning in order to keep down speed, met headon with a terrific crash. *
