An interesting wedding took place at St. Paul’s Pro-Cathedral, Wellington, this afternoon, when Louise Seddon, second daughter of Dr. and Mrs Charles G. Morice, “Moelcerney,” Eccleston Hill, Wellington, and granddaughter of the Rt. Hon. R. J. Seddon, and of Mrs Seddon, of Wellington, was married to Thomas Watkin, son of the late Mr T. W. Williams, Wellington. Women have done so remarkably well in the past year—and this fact alone should protect 1930 from some of the slings and arrows hurled against it —that we can afford to be a little sentimental about them. Those whose amazing sporting feats have caused the last twelve months to be described as “the women’s year,” are young and comely with a taste for dress. To take three of these 1930 heroines at random, could anyone be more charming and less dowdy than nineteen-year-old Diana Fishwick, Betty Nuthall. who, although she is in her early twenties, really doesn’t look quite grown lip. and Joyce Cooper, the swimming champion? And also Winifred Spooner, the flyer, who is the only woman in this country to hold a “B” license. VISITORS’ LIST. At the Dominion:—Mr and Mrs W. P. Spencer and Master Spencer (Spencerville), Mr J.
