RIFLE SHOOTING.
TTMARU DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB. On Saturday afternoon the final shoot of the Club’s championship will be fired. The conditions are 7 shots at 300, 500 and 600 yards. There will be the usual handicap trophy shoot. The highest score off the rifle will take the “Volunteer Cup.” Single ended targets will be used for the first time at 300 yards, and a time limit will be enforced. The following are the handicaps for the day:— Scratch.—C. Blackwood, G. Carmichael, H. Hopkins, C. J. Johnson, W. E. Jones. 2 points.—F. Chittock, W. Bradshaw, W. Malcolm. 3 points.—W. Duncan, P. Foden. 5 points.—w. A. Cowles, F. Black, L. Murray, A. Agnew. 6 points.—A. Duncan, W. Taylor. 7 points.—J. Dunnell senr., C. Mathieson, Len. Smith, Les. Smith, G. Marra. 9 points.—J. Mundy, N. Dunnill. 10 points.—R. Parker, F. Elliott. 14 points.—W. Finlay, W. E. McIlrick, J. Finch. 18 points.—M. O’Connor. 20 points.—P. Watkins. 22 points.—J. Toneycliffe, I. A. Blackwood. 25 points.—R. Guthrie, W. Woods.
