CASUALTIES.
DEAD FOR SEVERAL MONTHS. By Telepraph—Press Association INVERCARGILL, April 9. The body of an elderly man named James D. Moil*, who had apparently been dead for several months, was found to-day in a lonely hut on Awarua Plains. Moir was a labourer, and occupier of 200 acres cf peat swamp land which he visited only occasionally. His absence occasioned no surprise. He was last ■ een at Awarua at the beginning of November, when he informed friends that he had secured a good position. The discovery was made by a friend who called to see if he had returned for the holidays. The body was partly dressed, and was in a kneeling position before a couch. J
