BOXING.
DONOVAN DEFEATS JONES. By Telegraph—Press Association NEW PLYMOUTH, April 6. Tommy Donovan (Waitara) New Zealand featherweight and lightweight champion, at Hawera to-night outpointed Jack Jones (Hawera) exchampion of Wales. The fight went the full distance, but Donovan was too fast and rugged for Jones, and wore his opponent down. Jones boxed well, but Donovan did a fair amount of holding.
