OLD SPANISH RITE.
ROYAL HUMILITY SHOWN. MADRID, April 3. After a two-years’ lapse, King Alfonso this morning ceremonially washed and kissed the feet of thirteen blind beggars, and the Queen acted similarly toward twelve women, after which each beggar was given a basket of clothing and money. The beggars were especially cleansed and medically examined prior to the performance, traditional of Royal humility.
