Broadbent abandoned his flight, after yesterday’s misadventures. He says that after an hour's flying from Constantinople he encountered a snow storm, and the engine began, missing. He then decided to return, finally completely cut out, and made a forced landing unhurt in a swampy valley near Ismidt. He repeatedly tried< to take off, but failed. The ’plane became embedded in mud, and it will take at least a fortnight to release it.
