Both her companionship with a diamond smuggler at Cologne and her frequent visits to Holland caused suspicion to rest on a fashionably-dressed Frau Marga. Many searches failed to disclose anything, till she was made to remove her glass eye, in which £IO,OOO worth of diamonds were concealed.
