CANNED FRUITS.

The Empire Marketing Board’s report emphasises the need lor an improvement in the grading of Empire canned fruits, particularly the number and uniformity of pieces contained in tins. The report suggests that Australian canners should endeavour to increase the choice grade, the quantity of which at present is practically negligible, in order to enable retailers of high-class goods to offer Empire fruits capable of competition with the higher Californian grades.
