SOVIET WHEAT FARMS.
PUBLICITY NOT DESIRED. United Press Association—By Electrlo Telegraph—Copyright LONDON. March 17. The authorities at Moscow have refused a Canadian journalist in London permission to go to Russia in order that he might inspect the State wheat farms, presumably owing to Canada’s Recent action against dumping, and a desire to prevent publicity regarding the methods under which peasants’ confiscated farms are now conducted by men and women labourers living in barracks in shocking conditions, the disclosure of which would be detrimental to the disposal of the grain abroad.
