SEQUEL TO COLLISION. By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, March 18. The collision near Paekakariki between a motor-car and a train had a sequel in court. Eric John Bonner (23), a grocer, was charged with conversion to his own use of a car valued at £265, the property of A. W. Howard Tilley. A remand was granted until March 25th, the police intimating that further inquiries have to be made. BURGLAR PLEADS GUILTY. By Telegraph— Press Association WELLINGTON, March 18. A rug sold to a secondhand dealer in Manners Street, led to the arrest of Norman Graham McKenzie (20) on a charge of breaking and entering, one night in December, the Manners Street shop of Vance Vivian, and stealing goods valued at £9B/2/-, all of which it is believed, have been recovered. In the Police Court, accused pleaded guilty, and was committed for sentence. Bail was allowed for £2OO. Entry was effected by cutting a hole in the back door near the lock.
