HEAVY DAMAGES AWARDED. By Telegraph—Press Association. HAMILTON, March 10. Damages of £1441, were awarded Charles Percival Stark, farm hand, against John Young, motor mechanic, at the Supreme Court at Hamilton as a result of a collision between a motor cycle ridden by plaintiff and a motor car driven by defendant, at Cambridge. DAMAGES AWARDED. By Telegraph—Press Association CHRISTCHURCH. March 10. In the Supreme Court to-day, before Mr Justice Kennedy, a jury awarded damages of £BO6/16/6 in an action following a motor collision. The parties were James Cundy Murray Lee (plaintiff), and Wright Stephenson and Co. and Frederick Otto Schmidt (a salesman then in Wright Stephenson’s employ). Lee was riding a motorcycle when he was struck by a car driven by Schmidt. The Judge held that defendants were jointly and severally liable.
