BIG HAUL MISSED.
SAFE-BREAKERS RAID BANK PREMISES. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received March 9, 8.55 p.m.) SYDNEY, March 9. Safe-breakers carefully-planned attempt to raid the strong-room at the temporary city premises of the Commonwealth Savings Bank, during the week-end failed, and the gang missed a haul of £35,000. The strong-room resisted all the efforts of the latest devices employed by the cracksmen, but It was severely damaged.
