THE WEATHER.
Mr F. L. Wooles. Wind moderate southerly to easterly; weather fair and cool. Dominion Meteorologist. An anti-cyclone covers New Zealand, and is still centred in the south. A tropical cyclone apparently has been centred near Nukualofa to-day. Expect moderate to strong but decreasing south to south-east winds, later tending to northerly in southern districts. Seas rough south of East Cape, and Cook Strait, with a heavy southerly swell, but gradually moderating; elsewhere moderate. Weathefr, a few isolated showers on the East Coast between East Cape and Cook Strait, but improving; otherwise fair to fine. Temperatures cool, but rising.
