HATRY IN PRISON.
FULL REMISSION MARKS. Clarence Hatry, the former London financier, who was sentenced to 14 years’ penal servitude early last year for frauds, has recovered from the initial shock, occasioned by the dramatic turn in his fortunes, and is steadily “making good” in Maidstone Gaol. The healthy routine work of prison life has restored his health ,and the cheerful manner in which he has set his face to the long term of imprisonment before him has won him several friends, says a London paper. It is reported that Hatry’s hands are red with rough manual work, but those who have seen him declare that they are obviously well cared for, and that there is no trut* in this.
Hatry is now' employed in the bookbinding and printing departments. Plis exemplary conduct has earned him full remission marks to date, and it, is obvious that he means to complete his sentence in the shortest possible time-
