PRESBYTERIAN ASSEMBLY.
ADJOURNED TILL JUNE. By Telegraph—Press* Association WELLINGTON, March 3. The General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church to-day resolved that the Assembly as an expression of sympathy with the many involved in the Hawke’s Bay earthquake disaster, and that there may be time to ascertain the needs of stricken congregations both as to property and stipends, and being aware of the thousands at present receiving hospitality in Wellington, resolves to adjourn to June 2nd at St. John’s Church, Wellington. The Moderator, Rev. G. Buc*d, presided, and Rev. J. H. Mackenzie moved the motion.
