BOWLING.
NORTH OTAGO V. 9QJJTH CANTERBURY. •
The annual match between North Otago (holders) and South Canterbury for the Murray Bowl trophy'was held in Waimate on Saturday afternoon, in glorious weather, and, in the presence of a large crowd of spectators amongst whom were visitors fronubath centres. Although South Canterbury led by nine points at the fifth head, their opponents were always within striking distance until the latter stages of the match, when the challengers drew ahead to win, the final score reading: South Canterbury 208, North Otago 176. At the conclusion of the games. Mr H. Hay (secretary of the North Otago Bowling Centre), congratulated South Canterbury on their win, and handed the trophy to Mr J. B. Robinson (secretary of the Waimate Club), who made suitable acknowledgement.
