The bride travelled in a fawn costume with fawn hat and fawn shoes and stockings. With this was worn a handsome American skunk stole.

Prior to the marriage the staff of the Albany Street Associated Normal School presented the bridegroom with a set of silver servers, and the school band, of which he is conductor, presented an afternoon tea set and cheese knife. The staff of the Port Chalmers Specialising School presented the bride with a bronze and crystal fruit bowl, while her own classes presented her with a Doulton tea service.
