EDGAR WALLACE ON CRIME.
LURE OF LAW-BREAKING. United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyi BERLIN, December 29. Mr Edgar Wallace, who is visiting Germany, declared that there are no master criminals nowadays. “If I were not a writer I could be the most capable criminal and easily earn money at swindling. I might turn to criminal for the sake of sensation if England only possessed an inspired detective.” He adds, however, that writing of crime is “more moral and more profitable.”
