VICTORIAN WHEATFIELDS DAMAGED. United Press Association—By Electric Telegsaph—Copyright (Received December 28, 5.5 p.m.) MELBOURNE, December 28. Violent winds, followed by the heavyrain of the past week, caused serious damage to the wheat aieas. Some farmers are already turning stock into the crops, which was spoiled for harvesting. Tobacco crops are suffering from, blue mold, and Irsis blight has appeared in many districts. CYCLONE IN NIUE. The news from Niue states a cyclone struck Niue last night, passing south. The peak of the storm was reached between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. this morning. The damage is not yet ascertainable.
