HOLIDAY HEAT WAVE.

The country districts report a holiday heat wave. The thermometer registered over 100 degrees at a number of inland centres. This was followed by wind and thunderstorms. A hurricane at Bombala, on the South Coast, was the worst for years. A topical cyclone of the “willywilly” type is centred in the northern parts of Western Australia, where general rain has fallen. Good rain is also reported in Central Australia.
