CONCERT PARTY. The Public Hall was well filled on Wednesday when the St. Augustine Concert Party, from Walmate, gave a programme of bright and varied items in aid of the school funds. The following were the contributions: Pianoforte solo, Miss Mumford; “Tiptoe Through the Tulips,” Misses J. Kelly, Granger and ballet; songs, Mrs Foster; “Picking Petals off the Daisies,” the Company; monologue, “Foolish Questions,” Miss G. Holmes; dance, Miss M. Granger; “Redskin,” Miss J. Kelly and company; Waimate Hits, Mesdames Holmes, Hardwick, Creba and Miss M. Granger; pianoforte solo, Miss Cousin. One-act farce, “Acid Drops,” Mrs J. Cr.eba, Miss G. Mumford, Miss M. Creba, Miss J. Kelly, Miss H. Kelly, Miss G. Holmes, Miss Trezise. Songs, Mr Foster; dance, Miss M. Granger; finale, cabaret scene, ballet and chorus, “Go to Bed,” Mrs J. Creba, Miss J. Kelly and company. Accompaniste, Mrs C. A. Pitts. Lighting effects by Messrs H. Russell and J. McDonald. After supper a dance was held until one o’clock, music being supplied by Miss H. Wilce. An extra was played by Miss D. McCurdy. Mr E. O’Loughlin, chairman of the School Committee, thanked the members of the party for the entertainment, which was much appreciated.
