THE WEATHER.
Dominion Meteorologist. The anti-cyclone has passed away eastwards, and an intense and extensive cyclone is advancing towards New Zealand. Expect winds moderate to strong north-easterly to northerly, increasing to gale force at places and changing to southerly from 24 to 36 hours. Seas heavy north of East Cape and becoming rough generally in New Zealand waters. Weather unsettled, cloudy and misty, with general rain deevloping, many heavy falls, and later much snow in the south. Temperatures mild at first.
