YACHT RACING.
TRANS-TASMAN VENTURE OPPOSED. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright MELBOURNE, August 2. The Royal St. Kilda Yacht Club deprecates the proposed trans-Tasman race, and passed a resolution to that effect on the grounds that the conditions necessary to secure a reasonable standard would so limit the field that the race would not be in the best interests of yachting generally. The Club, therefore, does not support the proposal.
