LATEST IN “TALKIES.”
Buttonhole microphones which enable talking films to be made in the noisiest streets are the latest advance in “talking” technique. The invention was used with success in the making of “Lilies of the Field.” the latest fr:vt of Mies Ccrime Griffith and Mr John Lodes, the British film star. Both players wore tiny micro which were connected to sound-re-cording apparatus by wireless. In a big street scene their voices were clearly recorded with the roar of traffic as a background. It is claimed that this invention will fr c “til.lie” products from the trammels of the studio.
