Timaru. at 1 p.m. on Monday, the 18th August, 1930, for examination by the Land Board, and will require to produce., documentary evidence of their financial position and to satisfy the Land Board as to their capabilities to satisfactorily work the area applied for. Discharged soldiers will require in addition to produce their military discharges. The ballot will be held immediately after the conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant must be prepared to immediately pay the deposit required. The usual preferences under the Act will apply, and in this connection it should be noted that landless single applicants living in proximity to the Settlement have equal preference with discharged soldiers, etc. BRINKLANDS SETTLEMENT.
