MINIATURE RIFLES.
PAREORA CLUB. The following were the scores of the Pareora Club at the last weekly shoot: V. Koens 77, J. Bennett 76, C. Longman 75, R. Koens 74, E. Brehaut 74, P. Coote 74, M. Brien 74, L. Howard 73, H. Weenink, jr. 73, J. Douglas 72, A. Longman 71, P. Sinclair 70. A trophy donated by Mr E. Brehaut was won by J. Bennett. WASHDYKE CLUB. The twelfth weekly shoot ol the Washdyke Club was held on Tuesday, there being practically a full muster of members. The second round of Mr J. Smith’s trophy was fired, together with the third round of the “Herald” Shield competition and with their handicaps, ten members secured possibles. Some of the best scores off the rifle were; R. Moore 80, S. Browne 78, A. Ross 77, W. Grant 77, W. Dawe 77, K. Hunt 76, P. Couper 76, A. Clarke 75, D. Doak 74, J. King 74, R. Coleman 74, D. Stocker 73, T. Stocker 72, D. C. Doake 71, L. Stodker 71, W. Wood 71. The final round and shoot-off for this trophy will be completed next week. CAVE CLUB. The Cave Miniature Rifle Club held its weekly shoot on Saturday. The scores were:—K. Malthus 78, W. Moses 78, J. Sewell 77, F. Taylor 76, H. Greene 76, J. Gray 75, Jas. Gray 75, E. Cooper 75, A. Rapley 75, G. Weavers 74, J. Kelynack 73, W. Wills 72, R. Seymour 7l", T. Crundall 70, A. Young 70, G. Heughan 70, A. Hawthorn 68. Ladies.—A. Gray 75, M. Sewell 74, A. Butterworth 65, B. Hunter 64, L. Butterworth 62. A trophy was donated by Mr G. G. Rich for two nights, and the final shoot will be Saturday night. The Club Challenge Buttons were won by Miss A. Gray and K. Malthus.
