PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given V that at a Special Meeting of the Timaru Borough Council, held on the 7th day of JULY. 1930. the following resolution was passed and will be submitted for confirmation ?.t a Special Meeting of the Council to be held on the 4th day of AUGUST. 1930, at 7.30 p.m. at the Borough Council Chambers, King George’s Place, Timaru. RESOLUTION. “ That in exercise of he powers conferred on it by ' The Local Bodies Loans Act. 1926.’ ’ The Local Authorities Empowering (Relief of Unemployment) Act, 1926.’ and of all other powers and authorities so enabling It the Timaru Borough Council resolve by way of Special Order to raise by way of loan Six Thousand Pounds (26000) by means of sale of debentures to the public; such debentures to be in denominations of One Hundred Pounds (£100) and to be redeemable on the Ist day of April, 1941. The interest to be paid on such loan to be , at a rate not exceeding 5i p.c. * per annum payable half-yearly on the Ist days of April and October in each year during the currency of the loan and commencing on the Ist day of April, 1931. The sinking fund to be provided by the payment thereto of not less than £3 0s 6d per centum per annum on the total amount of the loan commencing on the Ist day of April, 1931. The Public Trustee to be appointed Sinking Fund Commissioner, and each annual instalment in respect to such sinking fund to be paid to him or such agent as may be appointed by him. The payment of interest and sinking fund to be secured by a special rate of ,074 d in the £ on the unimproved value of all rateable property of the Borough of TiAny objections to the above Loan MUST be submitted in writing to the undersigned not later than SATURDAY. 2nd AUGUST, 1930.
