HOCKEY.
INTER-ISLAND MATCH By Telegraph—Press Association CHRISTCHURCH. July 17. The New Zealand Hockey Association appointed Mr R. Thompson (Wanganui) and Mr P. N. Quartermain (Christchurch) as selectors of the North and South teams for the interisland match to be played at Nelson on August 16th. Nominations of players for selection are to be forwarded to them as early as possible.
LADIES’ TOURNAMENT. By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, July 17. The following have entered for the New Zealand ladies’ hockey tournament at Invercargill next month:— Wellington, Southland A. DRAW FOR SATURDAY. The following are the games and referees for Saturday's games:— Cambridge B v. Trinity, at 1.45: referees, Messrs W. Govv and W. Hawkey. Cambridge'A v. South End at o p.m.; referees, Messrs L. Dockrill and L. Davies. Stafford A v. Winchester at 2.45; referees, Messrs W. Gow and W. Hawkey.
