SCHOOLS IN FIJI.
TRIP FOR INSPECTOR. By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, July 16. Mr W. M. Bird, Chief Inspector of Primary Schools, will leave by the Niagara from Auckland on 29th July for Fiji. There is an arrangement between the New Zealand authorities and the Fiji Government that cerfain Schools in Fiji should be conducted as New Zealand schools, the staffs being appointed in the Dominion. Therefore, it is necessary that they should be visited for promotion purposes, etc., and for this reason, Mr Bird is making the trip. He will be away one month.
