ATHLETICS.
EMPIRE GAMES TEAM By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, July 16. A letter from Mr Hobbs, manager of the New Zealand team travelling on the Aorangi to take part in the Empire games, states that the team are all well except two oarsmen, who are suffering from boils, but are improving. The team has the use of the gymnasium at special times, and further facilities for training, Captain Martin being keen to do all he could for the party. The New Zealanders were fraternising with the Australians in deck games, and should get along well. Concluding this letter on July 4 from Suva, Mr Hobbs said the sea was choppy, and some of the boys were a little sick. The members of the team were all a happy family.
