DR ADAMS’S CHARGE. TO BE CONSIDERED BY NEW ZEALAND UNION. By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, July 15. With regard to allegations in connection with the Timaru match, Mr S. Dean, chairman of the New Zealand Rugby Union, stated to-day that the Management Committee had no official information, but since the president had made a public statement, the Management Committee would certainly consider the matter at its meeting to-morrow. BRITISH TEAM AT GISBORNE. By Telegraph—Press Association GISBORNE, July 15. The British team was welcomed by the Mayor, and by Maori residents, who entertained the team at a luncheon prepared in Native style. The visitors were greatly intrigued by the cooking methods practised by the old-time Maoris, and were surprised by the quality of the product of the earthen ovens. A Native cabaret entertained the visitors during the luncheon, after which the team proceeded to the A. and P. grounds to witness steer-riding contests.
