SUICIDE. By Telegraph—Press Association H/IMILTON, July 14. The body of Samuel Burton, M.R.C.V.S. (60), a well-known veterinarian, was found with a gunshot wound in his head. At the inquest a verdict of suicide while depressed by ill-health was returned. OVERCOME BY GAS HEAT. By Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, July 14. Pathetic circumstances surround the accidental death of Mr James Kimm, and the serious condition of his wife, both aged 78, of 39 Grange Road, Mt. Eden. The elderly couple fe'l asleep in the sitting room before a portable gas heater on Friday evening, and were found insensible early on Saturday morning. Mr Kimm received fatal burns, through his foot slipping practically into the heater, while his wife is in a semi-conscious condition at the hospital. The couple were found by a neighbour ten hours later. SALESMAN MISSING. By Telegraph —Press Association MASTERTON. July 14. Some anxiety is felt for the safety of a man named J. Wells, representative of the Fuller Brush Co., who left a boardinghouse in Masterton on July sth, and has not since been seen. All his personal belongings, including two new suits, were left at the boardinghouse. He departed with the intention of calling on prospective clients. The missing man is about 35 years of age, sft. llin. high. When last seen he had in his possession a black fibre case containing brushes, and a bicycle.
