WINCHESTER LADIES’ CLUB. The Winchester Ladies’ Miniature Rifle Club held their weekly shoot on Thursday evening, when Mr J. A. Paterson’s trophy was fired for. Mrs T. A. De Renzy proved the winner. The winner of the third week’s trophy was J. Healey.

SOUTH CANTERBURY CHAMPIONSHIP. A meeting of delegates from the South Canterbury Club was held in the Drill Hall on Saturday:—Present— Mr F. Lewis (chairman). W. O'Connor, L. McKeefry (St. Patrick’s), W. T. Taylor and H. Roberts (Pleasant Point), F. Chittock and J. Mundy (Claremont), W. Wood (Washdyke), W. Best (Fire Brigade), R. Parker. R. A. Rodgers, W. Duncan and W. Bradshaw (Timaru), and A. Thoreau (secretary). After a good deal of consideration it was unanimously decided to hold the shoot on Saturday, 2nd August. The following prize money was allotted:—Total for teams, individual and aggregate, £6O. Teams £25, individual £l6, aggregate £l9. Officials were appointed as follows: Range officers, Messrs J.
