WEDDING

ADAMStt-THOMAS. A pretty wedding was solemnised in St. Mary’s Church, Timaru, on 26th. June, by the Rev. H. W. Monaghan. The contracting parties were Rubina Chalmers, youngest daughter of the late Mr and Mrs J. Thomas, of Timaru, and Forester, eldest son of Mr and Mrs F. Adams, of Albury. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr J .Thomas, of Timaru, wore a charming frock of ivory C7'pr»e de chene trimmed with rl’vcv embossed roses, and silver shoes and stockings. Her net veil was embroidered with silver, and held in place by orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of chrysanthemums and winter roses. The bridesmaid, Miss Ethel Traves, of Timaru, wore a pretty frock of pale blue satin, and a felt hat to match. Her bouquet was of autumntinted chrysanthemums. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr Gordon Adams, of Dunedin, as best man. The bride’s sister, Mrs J. Skudder, of Pareora, wore a handsome frock of blue repp, and carried a posy to match; while the bridegroom’s mother wore a smart frock of black radium lace, and carried a posy to match. After the ceremony, the guests were entertained, at a reception in the Tyrol. Later in the afternoon, the happy couple left by motor for the north, the bride wearing a frock of old marocain under a coat of deep wine with fur cuffs and collar, and hat to match. Mr and Mrs F. Adams were the recipients of many useful and valuable presents.
