MINIATURE RIFLES.

TIMARU CLUB. The fifteenth and sixteenth shoots on the Timaru range were held on Monday and Thursday of last week. The best scores off the rifle were: W. Bradshaw 79, A. Agnew 79, A. E. Cowles 79, W. Duncan 79, V. Nicholas 79, T. Green 78, R. Peagram 78, J. Roddick 78. W. Malcolm 77, H. R. Parker 77, R. Rodgers 77, W. Rennie 77, J. Thomas 77. R. Worthington 77, H. Barber 76, W. A. Cowles 76, J. Stevenson 76, G. Carmichael 76, J. M. Toneycliffe 76. Mr F. Lewis’s No. 3 trophy was won by T. Green. Mr R. Parker’s No. 1 trophy was won by W. Duncan, who won also the Carmichael Button for the week. The shoot off for the previous week’s challenge medal was won by A. Agnew, and for last week’s medal W. Bradshaw and A. Agnew will shoot off. PLEASANT POINT CLUB. Another full attendance of members was recorded at the weekly shoot of the Pleasant Point Miniature Rifle Club. Thirty-six members competed for the Bowman weekly button, and a trophy donated by Mr H. Elms. The shoot went to the fourth round. Results were as follows:—K. Hammond 1, A. W. Borrell 2, J. Hammond 3. At the same time the second round in the “Herald” Shield competition was fired.
