BRITAIN’S TRADE
ECONOMIC ADVISORY COMMITTEE. British Official Wireless RUGBY, July 10. The Prime Minister presided to-day over a meeting at his official residence of the Economic Advisory Council, which was set up in January to co-or-dinate the work of the departments concerned, and with economic and industrial matters, and to advise the Government on trade matters generally. In addition to leading members of the Government, including the Chancellor of the Exchequer and the President of the Board of Trade, several distinguished economists and prominent industrialists are members of the Council. The Imperial subcommittee of the Council appointed some months ago under the chairmanship of a wellknown steel magnate, Sir Arthur Balfour.
