The Government suffered a set-back when the Senate, against the wishes of the Ministry, referred to a Select Committee the Bill to create a Central Reserve Bank. ATTITUDE OF CABINET. SELECT COMMITTEE SLIGHTED. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received July 11, 8.30 p.m.) CANBERRA, July 11. The Federal Government’s reply to the Senate’s rejection of the Central Reserve Bank Bill, is to withdraw its representatives on the Select Committee appointed by the Senate to investigate the Bill. The Prime Minister regards the Senate’s action as tantamount to the rejection of the Bill, which he will again bring before the House of Representatives early next year.
