NOTES. The Calm arrived yesterday morning from Port Chalmers. She shipped general Wellington- and Wanganui cargo, and sailed for Lyttelton. The Holmdale was an arrival last night from Oamaru, and after loading for Wellington and Wanganui, sailed for Lyttelton. The Storm is expected on Sunday morning from the south. On Monday the vessel is to load for Picton, Wellington and Wanganui, and sail for Lyttelton. The Gale and the Breeze, of the same fleet, are due on July 15th and 16th respectively, to load for their usual northern ports. The Waimarino is expected to leave Dunedin on Monday for Timaru. The vessel is to load for Wellington and Auckland.

The Kanna is listed to be an arrival from Dunedin on Wednesday, to ship general cargo for Wellington, Nelson, New Plymouth and Westport. The Himatangi, on the Wellington, Wanganui and New Plymouth run, is set down for Thursday from the south. The Progress, of the same fleet, is expected on-Friday, to take Wellington, New Plymouth and Waikato shipments. The Wingatui is to load at Auckland early next week for Wellington, Dunedin, Lyttelton and Timaru. The Kiwltea is to leave Melbourne to-day f(Sr New Zealand ports, including Timaru. Overseas. The motor vessel Karamea arrived yesterday morning from Bluff, and berthed at No. 3 wharf. The vessel is loading frozen meat and general cargo, and it is expected that she will get away to-night for Lyttelton. The Port Fremantle is set down to arrive to-morrow from Bluff,- to load frozen meat and general cargo for London, United Kingdom and Continental ports. She is expected to sail for Lyttelton on Tuesday. The Argyllshire, from Wanganui, is scheduled to arrive on July 31, to load meat and general cargo for London and West Coast of England ports. She is to sail for Lyttelton on August 1, and finally from New Zealand on August 20.

The Rotorua, for London and West Coast of England ports, is listed to reach Timaru on August 5 from Port Chalmers.

The Henzada. which left New York at the end of June for New Zealand ports, including Timaru, is due here about the first week in August, for discharge of general American cargo. The Paki Paki sailed from Liverpool on June 7 for New Zealand, and is expected to make Timaru on August 7, for discharge. With American cargo for discharge at Timaru, the Armdale is expected to arrive at the end of August. The City of Khartoum, which has also American cargo for Timaru, should reach here about the last week in July. The Golden Coast left Los Angeles on July 1 for Timaru, via ports. She has oil, lumber and general cargo for discharge, and her Timaru portion should be unloaded about August 13. The Canadian Challenger and the Canadian Cruiser are due at Timaru on July 21 and August 20 respectively. Both vessels are to discharge and load Canadian and American general cargo. The Golden West is to load on Pacific Coast ports of America during September, for New Zealand ports. She is listed for early in November for Timaru, with oil, lumber and general cargo for discharge.
